As the second instalment of our National Roadshow and series of Driver Welcome Events, we dropped in at Walsall Football Club in the West Midlands to meet current and prospective courier drivers in the area that are part of our network.
With a superb turnout of over 40 drivers and transport companies, we were delighted with the opportunity to meet some of the local couriers in the area and understand more about their day-to-day operations. As part of the event, we presented the DeliveryApp platform, discussed our plans for the future, and explained how our platform aims to transform the logistics industry through technological innovation.
With founders of the business and newly appointed Operations Director, Joanna Pearson, representing the DeliveryApp team, it proved to be an enjoyable night for everyone. The night in itself began with a presentation of the DeliveryApp platform and an extensive Q&A session so the drivers could find out more about how adopting the app could help them to secure more courier work.
Refreshments and food were on offer throughout, which were gratefully received and ensured attendees were well nourished after a hard day’s work. During the welcome event, drivers were given the opportunity to sign up to DeliveryApp with a majority of them registering their interest in becoming a delivery partner. We were thoroughly delighted with the reception we received from the drivers and transport companies that attended and it was a great way to get to know more about the community.
Our next Driver Welcome Event of our National Roadshow will take place on 28th October 2021 at Cambridge United Football Club.
